"And finally what is the scope of doing LLB"

only astrologer can tell.

with same type of LLB degree persons rise upto Supreme Court Judges (including some rising from BPL or near BPL families) and even represent in ICJ. Indian Judges (even judges from poor countries) have risen to that level.

Some after earning fame in practice join politics.Law Minister is always and advocate.

Some are top legal advisers of international fame.

Some are good law lectures.

Some work as legal advisors (fixed salary or consultancy basis) to top MNC and coporates. Some specilise in searching dusty record of tehsil office to conduct title search of property.

Some have this degree and end up to join as Assistant or even LDC in Govt of India.

Some specialise in custom assessment case and some do not know more than traffic challans cases.

Some are just subservient to another advocate just seeking adjournment on his behalf.

Some have a religious vow against taking any false case and some have reputation of voluntarily losing case on receiving bribe from opposite party.

Some can be seen with broken typewriter at the back of bike standing in sun on a pavement outside tehsil/corporation office waiting for some tout to bring a client willing to get affidavit drafted. Earning lesser than chana kulcha vendor three feet away

Some specialise in Gold control cases and some are reputed expert for getting bail to pickpockets or prostitute any time anywhere.

Some specialise in service matters/ environment matters and some have strong grip in consumer courts.

There are some who know nothing more than how to get more compensation for a farmer whose land is acquired.

Some are practically petty traders or property dealers and get this license (with small office and some books and no cases) only to threaten police persons and trade opponents.

Further extreme is some just act as glorified bribe conduits in black coat.

Some are, in this profession (or other professions) earning so well (may not be astronomical) that they can spare time to give free legal advise on this forum and can afford additional internet and electricity expenses in charity.

THERE IS NO DISTANCE EDUCATION IN LL.B. IN ANY PART OF THE COUNTRY IN INDIA.

IF AT ALL THERE IS ANY DISTANCE EDUCATION, IT IS ONLY BACHELOR OF GENERAL LAW (AND NOT LL.B.).

BACHELOR OF GENERAL LAW WILL NOT ENTITLE A PERSON TO PRACTICE AS AN ADVOCATE.
Kuummaar AS (Expert) 18 July 2014
In Delhi, evening classes are held.
Anirudh (Expert) 18 July 2014
What is being offered in Delhi University in the evening classes, is not a DISTANCE EDUCATION.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 18 July 2014
Only regular LLB is recognized by the Bar Council of India.

First of all let us thank Shri Sudhir Kumar for lengthy explanation about the scope for Law Graduates!.
The difference between Bachelor of Law and bachelor of General Law is - first one is normally 2 year course and second one is full course of 3 years.
the querist can find out from google instead of approaching the experts for his doubts. Many of the experts are seniors and their knowledge about best college is not based on the present times.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 18 July 2014
Well advised by experts.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 18 July 2014
Well advised by experts, nothing more to add.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 19 July 2014
Further you have indicated that you are Govt servant. It is necessary that for joining any study (including distance education) you need permission of the deptt.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 19 July 2014
Further if you are Govt servant (without/without LLB) and not registered in bar (even if LLB) you can appear in departmental inquiries both for prosecution or defence of charged officer, in any department.
