Hotel business can be started in residential area.
Only permission form Municipality is required for this.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 11 July 2014
Confirm from local Municipal authority whether in your residential lane such activity can be conducted.
ajay sethi (Expert) 11 July 2014
file RTI application with muncipal corporation as to whether permission granted for hotel or not
V R SHROFF (Expert) 11 July 2014
nearby residents can file their Objection. + it may affect Traffic, so Police can interfere, Also sewage/ smell / unknown persons entering locality during odd hrs of night/ day.. If residential zone/ commercial activity is banned.
consult local councillor.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 12 July 2014
Such commercial activity cannot be permitted in the residential area so invoke section 133 of Criminal Procedure Code for this purpose to stop such illegal pollution.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 12 July 2014
File a writ petition against the authorities who sanctioned the permission to run the hotel in that area.

Add all the authorities and the hotel management as parties.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 12 July 2014
check about permission granted or not ?
if not granted, follow advice of Mr.Makkad and if granted follow advise of Mr.Arunagiri.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 12 July 2014
A mandatory injunction suit can be filed seeking the court's intervention to restrain them from indulging in commercial activities by running a hotel in a residential area which causes pollution and other nuisances. If licence granted by Municipal authorities, they may be impleaded as a party.
