even the contesting advocates (in case of VIP criminals) be barred from giving press statement on merits of the case or what they argued in court.

Both Press and the Judiciary are Independent pillars of Democracy and neither could interfere or intervene into its respective functions

The medias are treating themselves as Judges and pass comments which does affects the case. It is being done to improve their TRP ratings.

There is nothing like media trial. Judges don't process cases by seeing TV or reading newspaper. media publicity puts pressure on corrupt politician and policemen to be alert and process case quickly and fairly.

Ultimately the court decides issues and evidences on record. So now what difference does it makes of what media is showing. Com'on Indians be matured.
