Individual law practice doesn't pay you well intially, so it's better to start with law firms.

in the present scenario , due to the increasing compitition n overcrowding of lawyers in courts ; i think law firms or LPOs are best side for a new comer...

Civil & Criminal Law BOTH : Newcomers should learn basic knowledge of Criminal Law as well as foundation of Civil Law by practicing in multipurpose cases. It will also help them in working in Law Firms if so desired in future.

civil law, you learn the foundation which helps yo alot later even if you give up practice and join a firm or a company
