Hi all
Any business undertaking which may be Service indusrty (like hotels/hospitals/automobile service ) or Retailing (shops) or BPOs for these organizations what is maximum working hours for a day.
If it becomes any responsible manager have to alert to receive phone call/ response to 24X7 hours duty, what action can be taken for that organization as per indian labour law
Kindly guide me.

You may look into the SE Act applicable to your state, and factories Act depending upon the kind on industry you wish to refer.
Generically speaking: 8 hours per day or 9 hours/day including lunch/tea break of 1 hour, or 8+2 hours of OT, max.48 hours in week.OT 2hours/day max.12 hours/week,50 hours/qtr.
