Wife has entered petition of Divorce u/s. 13(1) (ia) through POA. Wife is well settled in abroad. Husband remains continuous absent in court. If court passes ex-parte divorce, Husband has to pay alimony to his wife after divorce? Wife can applicable to get share from Husband’s property in this case?

To claim maintenance a suit/petition for maintenance would have to be filed by the wife. Divorce by itself would not give her alimony.
