Why is an application necessary for getting a case admitted

Hi,

Our Lawyer has file a qaush petition in high Court for 498a case in trial court. The High court website shows my case is pending for admission. Now I have come to know that an application is needed to be submitted for getting the petition admitted and coming to cause list. Why is this procedure needed?  what type of application is need, ie its formet and content.

Regards

Manish

In certain High Courts (such as Bombay High Court), a case may not be listed for long unless it is mentioned for an early hearing, i.e., to list it in the Cause List expeditiously. The automatic date given by the Computer may be after long time. In such a case, therefore, it may be necessary to request for listing the matter early. On the other hand, in some High Courts such as Delhi High Court, the listing of a case is automatically done expeditiously.
