wheather nominee will receive the bank amount or legal heirs

my father in law has deposited some cash amount in bank and I'm nominee in that after some time I got divorce from my husband..after one year of that divorce my father in law expired but I remained nominee..now the bank has refused to deliver the said amount to my past husband who is only legal heir of my father in law..and he filed a

injunction suit against the release of
this amount to legal heir....now my
question is -will this amount is only released to me (nominee) or to my past husband (legal heir)..or have no right on this amount

kindly refer any latest judgement..

Bank will release the amount to nominee but nominee is only trustee of released amount and he is to disburse the released amount to legal heirs of deceased account holder.in your case after having released amount from bank you can not retain it and have to deliver to your ex husband who is legal heir of account holder.
