Whatsapp groups

If a few government employees have created a WhatsApp group unofficially and they criticize the government on the group on the ground that they did not take proper action during the pandemic. Does this violate any law?

As per your query, let me tell you that On 7th December, 2020 a Bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Sanjiv Khanna of Apex Court (SUPREME COURT OF INDIA) held in no uncertain terms that disloyalty to the government by law and comments was not an offence if did not call for violence and public disorder.

So the WhatsApp group you're talking in your query, anything that you say there against the government would not tend to violate any law if it hasn't led to create any violence or disorder amongst the public.

Hope It Helps
