My wife got her passport re-issued after 5 years of her marriage and flew to USA . All I know is the passport number and the fact that she got it re-issued with marital status as "Single".
What to do and whom to approach in case I want to teach her a lesson that she can't take things for granted and play with legal system.

Dear Aakash
you can file a complaint to passport Authority for Wrong information and false declaration. the passport authority can file a case against her and the passport Authority have right to revoke her passport.
