I joined centeral govt laboratory on the post of Scientific Assistant (Microbiology), in the pay scale of Rs. 4500 –7000 pre-revised which is after 6th CPC is Rs. 5200-20200 (PB-1) with GP-2800. Essential Qualification of this post is ‘M.Sc. degree in Microbiology with one year experience and the duties of this post are: to Report Scientific Officer in work related to performing scientific experiments for drugs Standardization/analysis, preparation of monographs.
I would like to draw your kind attention that.
1. Almost all the Scientific Assistant/Technical Assistant/ Junior Technical Assistant even Lab Technician in different Department/ Ministries are placed in PB-2 with GP 4200 or more.
Essential qualification and nature of duties for the post which I am holding are similar or even superior to many of them but I am placed PB -1 which is a serious anomaly.
Our organization Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory, Ghaziabad under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, is the central drug testing, standardization and quality control laboratory for Homoeopathic medicines in the country and also the appellate laboratory and it is very unfortunate that Scientific Assistant of this laboratory treated with disparity.
2. Government had upgraded all the Group ‘D’ staff to Group ‘C’ and placed in PB-1 after giving them three month department training although many of them are not having even any educational qualification.
In the view of above facts, I request members to draft a strong reccomondation for upgradtion from PB1 to PB2.
