Trasnfer of residentailflat to spouse without stamp duty

Hi , I purchaserd a residential flat on my name in year 2011, I want trasnfer flat ownership to my wife name. Is their any possiblity to transfer without paying stamp duty & registration charges.

Is there is alternaitve options available.

 

Please suggest.

1.  You can transfer the  title-ownership & society membership of the flat to your wife, via a registered + Stamp duty paid Gift-Deed.


2.  In the above case a stamp-duty of 2% and registration fee of 1% is applicable, in Mumbai region.


Without paying Stamp-Duty, it would be illegal to transfer title-ownership of any immovable property.

Thanks for suggestion & guideline Mr Hemant.

Is Stamp duty  & registration charges will be same for Pune ( Pimpri chinchwad) for gift deed registration?

I hope , it will be standard all Maharashtra region.

Any more comment from experts.
