Time limit for filing a criminal court case

Hello,

I would like to know whether there is any time limit for filing a court case after the said event is said to have happened for the IPC 452, 504, 506? The concerned matter is certainly more than one year old and this is in the state of Maharashtra.

Thank you and best regards.

Dear Rajindia,

There is no time limit prescribed. In section 468 to 473 Cr.P.C where there is limitation prescribed for taking cognizance by trial court. It can be filed with in one year to 3 year time period.
