Tenants claim in property

My father had let out one house for a family more than 25 years and still they are there...

I fear that they have any grounds to claim the share in the property...??

Please advice....

No, a tenant cannot claim any share in the property, however long the tenancy period have been.

hi

one relative is a tenent in a property where we all reside along with the relative .now she claims owner rights in two ways.one as a daughter ( as property was bought by my grandfather and later transferred to my grandmother who died without making a will) and second way she claims share as a tenant.

is her claim valid as a daughter and a tenant as well ? pl reply
