Tenant staying since 40 yrs issue

Hi All,

We have a property a small portion of which was rented out about 40 years from now. Now we are planning to demolish and construct the whole property, However the tenant is not exactly vacating since quite a long time now of our requests made. We as of now do not have any quarrel/ dispute etc . But feel they are ignoring our vacate requests and taking fro granted . Now that the property has become very old and highly demands for demolition.

Additional Information :- We do not have any reciepts maintained by either of the parties. Only thing is electricity bill of the shop floor rented is in the tenants name.

In this regards. request  you to suggest what as owner of the property have access to and how best I can solve the issue of making the tenant vacate in the early possible manner :o)

Thanks for your suggestion in advance!

Issue notice for eviction. Rent control legislation provides for eviction when the premises are required for demolition and reconstruction.
