Tenancy

Hi,

two brothers A and B shared the ancestral property. total porperty was 2 shops and 2 houses.

both got 1 house and 1 shop.

Brother A  was using both the shops for his business , later after division he still continuous to use both. we made an rent agreement for the shop which belongs to Brother B. but BROTHER  A dint pay advance nor rent from day 1. He is not willing to vacate the premisis nor give rent. Please tell me what should we do.

Give him a legal notice to pay the arrears of rent within a stipulated time. If he fails to do so then, terminate his tenancy and proceed under the local rent act & file a case in the court for his eviction on the ground of non payment of rent.
