TANMOY BANERJEE (PGT)     26 March 2014

Technical resignation

Sir, I am a confirmed employee of Sainik School(Autonomous organization under Ministry of Defence) since 01.08.2010. Recently I have received an intimation from the Railways that I have been selected in the written exam of Teachers in Railways. I had applied for this job in the railways prior to my appointment in the present organization. However on receiving the intimation I had informed my present employer in writing and obtained a No Objection Certificate for the Interview. My query is that if I am to join railways will my resignation be treated as Technical resignation. Moreover will I have to serve three months notice period or pay three months salary in lieu. Please clarify with reference to rules and orders.

You have to follow as per your appointment letter rules of existing employer.
