Summon received by tenant mother

Hello Memebers.

A tenant of mine is not vacating flat so seems I will need to take legal action. After sending notice from a lawyer, case is filed from the court and summon sent. Summon is received by lady in the house.

I just heard that summon received by lady is not recgonised, is that true ? Is it that the summon should be only received by the person and not anyone on his behalf ?

Thanks in advance.

whomsover receiver of summon is not important. Snding the summon copy mentioning date & time is important for evidence. Cout may order to stick the notice on the door of the tenant and take action.
