Stamp duty on sale deed

I had purchase one property last year. I did a agreement to sale and applied for bank loan. Bank paid to the builder full amount but we did not complete the sale deed..

due to my hectic schedule I could not go for the sale deed. Recently few days back gov increase stamp duty.

Do I need to pay stamp duty as per current increased rate or past rate ? Please advice.

Thanks in advance

Asim

The rates are applicable as and on the day you get in for registry done at registrar office.

On the date of completion of sale, i.e when the sale deed gets registered.

Dear Asim,

You will have to pay the stampduty as per the present rate of stampduty charges.
