Hi everyone,

 

                        what is the difference between the term SOLICITOR used in India and in England? Can someone explain. Thanks in advance.

A solicitor is a person of legal standing who interacts with the clients and prepares teh briefs.  However the argeument and presentation in court is doe by a Barrister.  This division of labour or work in not in vogue in India or the US where a Lwyer / Advocate performs both the functions.
