Running a workshop in residential place

Hi Respected Members,

I stay at Sandhurst Road, 2-3 brothers runs a workshop of tin below my house, it feels very irritating all day because of the nuisance. Is it allowed to run a workshop at residential place. Can we all the tenants of the building file a RTI. Please help in this issue

Commercial activities are generally not allowed in residential areas, except when they are non-polluting and of the nature of  consultancy such as Architects, lawyers etc. Approach the local municipality first with a complaint and see what happens.
