Reason: Inconvenient information was sought. Corruption sir corruption. I know a case where the so-called "Investigtion Wing" had closed the case giving the assessees clean chit. When an officer smelled a rat, she ordered thorough investigation. The result: demand notice of more than 7 crores slapped. Should such officers continue to work in the department or sacked?
