Residential property as registered office address

Dear sir,
I want to use my residential address as the registered address of a company but that premises will not be used for Official purpose and no one will work from there. This address is only for communication purpose. It will be registered in shops act also. Should i change my property tax and electricity as commercial ?

Thanks
Jayashree

No such need as such residence is not used for commercial purposes at any time and it is only for communication purposes.. There should some physical activity by employing staff and used for such transaction purposes if it has to be treated for commercial purposes. However you can seek such information under RTI from Electricity Board and preserve their reply for future reference in case of any problems in future.
