Rented property in mumbai

we live in rented property in mumbai bought by my father in 1958now my father is expiered on whose name this property is there we have rent receipts also.

so what is procedure for getting in his son name who is staying there only and can landlord issue eviction  notice as my father is expired .  plz  held us

u have to approach the landlord for trf of the rent receipt in ur name.

well he cannot issue eviction notice only on the ground of the tenant has expired.

 

 

 Maharashtra Rent Control Act.

According to the said Act, upon demises of any tenant, the tenancy right will devolve upon the person who was residing with the deceased tenant as his family member at the time of his death.
