he can execute a gift deed or a sale deed in your favour and relinquish his rights from the property.

The best course is to ask him to execute a release deed in your favor and get it registered.

In last Dec. we have done the gift deed in favor of my father and my wife ( 50% -50% ) of my grandfather property . I have one younger brother and my nani property are goes to my younger brother.

Now I want to safe myself so there is no any obligation in terms of Law and taking the ownership of above property.

In short My Father & my Wife are the co-owners of a Grandfather property and my father wants to give up his rights to my wife.

What is the best way to do it?

Kindly Suggest..

A release deed will attract stamp duty at current property valuation? Is this true?Is there a cheaper option but yet legal.
