Registration of sale deed

Hi, I would like to know if registration of Sale Deed is mandatory in Hyderabad. A builder has given possession to the buyers by way of registering an Agreement For Sale. The Sale Deed has not yet been registered. What are the risks involved in such a deal.

not alone in hyderabad sale deed needs to be compulsorily registered everywhere

thank you for claryfying dear mr.sridhar.there is no need to register sale deed as it is said in the article

Get the possession receipt from the builder.. merely execution of the Agreement to sale doesn't make you the title holder of the property..

And as you have registered the Agreement to sale by paying the stamp duty and registration charges.. you don't need to pay iot again for execution of the sale deed..

It is always advisable to get it done.
