Registration of marriage

Can a Hindu marriage performed in a Temple be registered after death of husband? This is required by one of my friend to obtain passport to join her children who are presently living abroad.

Read sec-8 of HMA  1955 and act accordingly...

 

If husband is dead then how come a marriage will be registered as it needs both parties consent infront of Marriage registrar.

 

Better attach other ID proofs which shows the husband and wife relationship along with his death certificate.
