Registered rent agreement will protect your right. In future if any dispute occure and u want to get relief for it then u need to produce registered rent agreement as proof your liability.

i wanted to know whether registration is compulsory or not and also whether a stamp duty is to be paid on the same or not. is it okay if we execute the agreement on Rs. 100 stamp paper? In Kolkata , West Bengal
