There is a query from my end regarding Service Tax rules.My father is a Civil Contractor but does not have Service Tax Reg. Number.According to his personal Tax Consultant he has to pay Service Tax to the Government if he does business of Rs. 1 also.Is this true or there is some criteria on this under which if a person falls then he/she needs to pay Service Tax to the Govt.
Please help me regarding this issue.Is there any minimum range beyond which Service Tax needs to be payed?
