I filed a petition for succession certificate and deposited challan for it. Now I don't need the certificate and want back my challan amount. The case hearing status is "Service Report". Please help me as i consulted many lawyers but they don't know the refund process as they never face this scenario.

To get back the challan amount (stamp duty), an application has to be made in the Lok Adalat to get the stamp duty back, as there is no substance in the case anymore.
