Legal Aid To Advocate

Dear Ld. Members of LCI,

I wish to seek your valuable advice. One of my collegues who passed LL.B. this year i.e. 2009-10 and got himself enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi. But as per recent much publicised BCI rule any Advocate who passed LL.B in the year 2009-10 has to pass the forthcoming AIBE  scheduled to be held on 05 December 2010 and only  after passing this exam he would be entitled to practise Law in the Country. The poor chap has no other source of Income .As he enrolled himself as an Advocate he can't do any other job also. The problem is that his mother has filed complaint against him U/S 125  for maintenance for Rs. 10000/- pm and also Under DV Act U/s 20 for maintenance of 10,000/-   and compensation of Rs. 5,00,000/- u/s 22.

This  fellow doesn't have any other Source of Income and he can't even practise law before passing the bar exam . Now the question is that ,is the person entitled for free Legal Aid from the concerned Legal Service Authority to defend himself.
