My brother is a business person.  He has completed LL.B (3 years full time course) from a recognized university. He is more than 45 years old.  He is interested to get a legal practitioner licence from the state bar council. Can somebody give details of the latest eligibility conditions, such as qualification, age etc. so as to help him think about applying for the licence ?

Simllarly, can a working person apply for licence for legal practice ?

You can apply at any state bar council

1. take the form duly filled it and submit at the bar counter along with prescribed fee.

2. in form two introducer (preferably advocate) sign is required of that state bar where you wish to apply

3. after submission it will take at least a month for the verification of the certificates

than after you will be enrolled as an advocate. As of now no age limit but do it, in near future bar council is planning to impose a new critaria of age.
