Pvt ltd company

Hi

I was director in a pvt ltd company run by my father in law. after family disturbance they file for divorce before 6 years back, case is still pending in family court.  They remove me from my director post in 2008.

I want to know that...

1. If sales tax / vat or any other department issue notice in the name of pvt ltd company, after 2009 onward

is there any responsibility of mine to reply the notice etc...?

Thanks

The issuance of notice is not a relevant matter

The relevant question id that U R responsible for activities for the period till which U were the Director

U R not responsible for the activities for the period for which U were not the Director

Thus if the notice is pertaining to teh period of ur Directorship U remain responsible, NOt otherwise
