Property

My wife's mother expired on 26th 3.30AM and we went and after burrrial process ended my wife directly asked her only one younger brother to give share from her mothers cultivation land 1acre. He said to go and ask mother at burrial ground and mother had made a will in favour of him only. My wife mother is owning one small 2cents village house and one cultivable rainfed land 1 acre which has been fully enjoyed till date and mother had her belief that only son is to hold property and daughter should not enjoy so she never done anything for at marriage or after for her daughter who is my wife. No property details are with my wife. Please tell me whether my wife is eligble to get her share from her mother property.

if she had written a will in favour of her son your wife cant lay any claim over it.on the other hand if she had died intestate then your wife will have equal share in the deceased property along with other legal heirs
