A known person of mine has joined a MNC on 22nd August 2016. As per the offer letter the probation period ends after 6 months which happens to be on and around 21st Febdruary 2017. No comfirmation letter was issued. Now, today on 18th April 2017, the company has served a mail extending the probation period to 22nd June 2017 due to non performance though no mail till date has been issued for non performance. My query is Can an organisation extend the probation period after the actual probation period ends. If positive then, then can the company issue an extension of probation any time when ever it wants if confirmation letter is not issued?
