Pro-Bono Advocate for Supreme Court

Sessions Court  found Accused as guilty u/s 376 readwith 511 of IPC and convicted him for 5 yrs RI in a rape case of 8 yr old Girl by her 45 yr old relative. But HC overturned the judgement and gave acquittal to accused.

The Father of the Victim is a poor Blind man who wants to appeal aginst HC at Supreme Court. Can anyone suggest good Advocate at SC who can do it PRO-BONO or at some minimal fee.

Thanks!!

Dear Mr. Bhardwaj,

Kindly send the High Court and trial court judgment to my email and I will see how I can be helpful to you in this matter, after thoroughly going through those judgments.  (karlprabhakar@gmail.com)

The problem in the criminal law is that the State has got a statutory right  to appeal and the complainant's intervention in appeal is limited.  Having said that I would certainly try to help you in this matter.

One more thing may please be noted.  That in Supreme Court "free legal aid cell" is operating.  If you feel that it would serve your purpose, you can take assistance from them also.  Full details are available on Supreme Court web site.
