Power for attorney

Sir I stay in Mira Road Thane District. I have purchased this flat around 4 yrs back. At the time of registration my salary was very less so I have done the registration on my Uncles name who is not staying with us.

Now my Bldg society is charging extra non occupancy charges So my Uncle want to give power of attorney on my name to avoid those charges. Need to understand the charges for this.

Pls suggest

Power of attorney donot confer title (ownership) on you, your uncle shall remain owner of the flat.

Get the property transferred on your name either by a gift deed or settlement deed or sale deed, thus having proper title you can avoid lot of legal complications that may arise in the future too.
