Police calling at odd hours - help

Hello,

There is a complaint against us under 420 etc.., and to reply that we have submitted a complaint aginst the other party as well at our local police station a few days back.

Now, the incharge officer is calling us to meet at police station at odd hours....

We have already gone to station twice but both times he was not available, now again we got a letter to reach police station in two days for further questioning...

Now, again we will go in morning.... but am sure he wont meet us, as due to sum reason he wants to meet us in late evening only which we dont agree.

Plz inform what can be the solution OR we can write a letter/complain stating that we can only come to station in mornings ?

Plz help

Well, if the same thing repeats next time, represent the matter to the higher officials..

Verify your calls from police or not ? You can check police websites and find out the designated police personnel and their phone numbers.

okay, gone today and the officer finally met... but after taking a little bit of statement, he said come again after 2 days as he has to go somewhere today....

He's kind of harrasing by calling us reguarly and not taking statement at one go....

I am scared to report him to his higher officials and also if we try to go to main police officer, atleast 3 hawaldars ask why u want to go and they simple dont let anybody without approval go inside the cabin...

How 2 tackle this situation now...

The police in the pretext of heavy burden of work may give some flimsy reason  by adopting such tactics to extract the bribe amount.  So better take the services of a  lawyer and visit the station next time.
