Please advice on my situation with a real estate agent.
I had decided to take a furnished 1bhk on rent. I liked the place and gave a token amount of Rs. 5000 to the owner and Rs.5000 to broker.
I agreed to pay advance Rs.30000 and rest of the broker fee - Rs.5000 on the day the agreement is made.
But the next day when I went to office, I was given the oppurtunity to go onsite in a months time and hence could not take the place.
On calling the owner and the agent, they said they can't return the money. Instead they suggested, if I bring any other customer for them they will return my money.
Hence I posted an advertisement in a reall estate website. But when I was all ready with the customers and reached the place to show the new house, the agent said unless I pay Rs.5000 extra to him I cant show the place,
So I asked him to show the place himself. Instead he started a fight with me over there and scaring a lot of the people who came to see it.
Even though there was a customer who was ready to pay the broker amount right at the spot, if he liked the property, was not ready to show the place.
On contacting the owner, though the owner asked him to give the key to the house over phone, he just switched his mobile off and went off.
Is there anyway I can get the money back? I am ready to give the real estate agent all the customers I had brought, because all I want is the money back.

I will need to face the Police Officer tomorrow, because he filed a complaint that I posted the adverttisement for his property.
