Photocopy of promissory note

respected sirs kindly help me out in this query

before renting my house i took advance from them and i gave them a slip that i have taken so much money and signed under it. later i mentioned the same in the agreement and also gave a signed copy to my tenant.when i gave the agreement copy to him i took back the slip from him as the same was also mentioned in the agreement

now my worry is if he retains a photocopy of the slip will he be able to claim the same advance twice.one that is mentioned in the agreement and the other mentioned in the photocopy of the slip.

When the original slip is available, you need not assume and fear about a future thing that may not happen.   Simple photocopies are not valid documents and it must be supported by some other original documents.

Do not worry.  Photostat copies are not valid documents when proof required.

Your worries are unnecessary. If you start worrying about such silly issues you may not be able to move forward in any matter confidentlly.  He cannot make any claim with the photo copy especially when he is aware that you are in possession of  the original slip
