Passport and IPC Sec.279, 337 & IMV Act Sec 134(A) and (B)

Hello All,

I have a FIR registered against me for Section 279 and 337 of IPC and also with Section 134(A) and (B) of IMV Act. This FIR is of May 2007. So far I have got only DATES from court. The 4th date would be on 25-Aug-2010. I also have Passport issued by Mumbai RPO.

I have few queries:

1. Is there any way I can have the decision/proceedings faster?

2. I came to know that the person who registered the FIR was drunken (under the influence of alcohol) while crossing the road (Highway). Will this clue help me?

3. I have moved to different city now. The police did not took my passport details when they completed the formality of recording my statement. Should I inform the RPO about the FIR and change my address? Can I also get the PCC from RPO if I have FIR against me?

Please advice.

Thanks in advance. Regards, AJ

Forget about the passport. Giving details is not the requirement. Passport valid wherever one lives.

2. You can not hustle the court in giving you decision as you wish.

3. Came to know - that is a bald statement. How are you going to prove this in a court of law and what has the police recorded when the accident took place. What is the medical report?
