Passport after Conviction

I was convicted for 3 years and 2000/- u/s 420 by Lower court. An appeal to sessions court was pending, in the mean time we both parties reached a compromise and the case was compounded and appeal allowed. Now I want to apply for passport. What should I fill in the column stating "whether you was convicted in last 5 years for period not less than 2 years". What should be the answer to this question, yes/no. If yes, would that disqualify me from getting passport.

Sir, I am not gonna lie. Only thing I want to ask is what is my status? Am I still in "convicted" category or I am free of all charges
