Partition deed

Hello,

I am from tamilnadu, My father had a self acquired property. we are 7 sisters and don't have any brothers...when he was alive, he divided the property into 7 plots and 7 shops, where only 5 plots were registered to my 5 sisters, whereas the 2 plots and  the 7 shops remained unregistered... he built a house on the remaining 2 plots and stayed there without registering to the last 2 sisters... My father died in 2009... After a long struggle, we recently registered a partition deed where the remaining 2 plots were written to the 2 sisters and 7 shops to all the respective sisters.

My query is:

1. Can i sell my share to a third party without my sisters signature?

2. Is there anyway they can create problem in the future?

Thanx in advance

Ma'am,

You can very well convey or sell you share to any third party without signatures of your sister and will not have any problem in the future.  However, the buyer will insist you to show the original partition deed and you have to arrange for the same.
