Parking of my friends car

Hi,

My Father owns a house were we stay, we have ample of parking space in my society. I have a friend who owns a car but is not having proper parking space at his residence hence he requested me if he can park a vehicle in my compound.

I immediately addressed a letter to Hon. Secratary that I will me having this car parked in our compound and to charge me the parking charges in my Maintances bills. Secratary received by letter and acknoleged the same.

Now after 2 weeks my Chairman comes from his native and says I cannot park the car as it is not in my name. I show him the letter he says that he is chairman and his decesion will be final and they pass a resolution in the committe that outside cars cannot be parked.

My society have ample car park space and I am not creating any hinderence to anyone.

Do Society have any authority to pass such laws???

Do bye laws allows me to have such facility as I am ready to pay the charges?

As per bye laws visitors and guests can park their vehicle at the members premises only when they visit the said members house or during their stay for some period at members house, subect to availability of parking space.

But providing car parking space to outsiders just because they don't have car parking space in their society cannot be allowed by the society as this would compromise with the security of the society and its members.

Chairman is right in refusing so. The Society can pass such resolutions.
