open university degree

my degree completion date : june 2004(open university degree) +2 completion date : march 2005 (point is that i completed my plus two after my degree ) now iam working for 2 years in a private company. recently my new new hr called me and asked me whether i have informed this to the hr at the time of interview. I said that i have mentioned the +2 and degree completion dates and submitted the documents accordingly only. he was angry with me that i had not informed this at interview time. But i said again that i mentioned it in the resume. Now my question is whether the company can file any case on me for this? I admit i have not informed this orally at interview time but i have mentioned it in my resume. Please advise me.....
