One sided registration of flat

I have Purchased Flat at Kalwa- Thane on June 2000 fro Rs. 3,75,000/- .I have paid Stamp Duty of amount Rs. 14,100/-. Due to  Some reasons I could not do registration. Now  my agent says  one sided Registration is stopped in Maharashtra.  What is the alternate solution for this.

Yes one sided registration is stopped.

You can pay the penalty and get it registered or make a new agreemant, pay stamp duty again and get ti registered.

In both cases yo u require the seller or is power of attorney.

Is it necessary ,the person who had sold the flat should have registered the flat.?

Yes both parties are required to register the document. Since you had paid stamp duty in time, you may request the registrar for the delay and penalty but you cannot do one sided registration.

Now what is the solution? The person from whom I purchased flat had not registered  the flat when buying?
