One Rupee Revenue Stamp is sufficient for a Receipt, if the amount is above Rs.5000, under Article 53 of Indian Stamp Act. If the amount is less than Rs.5000 you need not affix any Revenue Stamp.
At present the limit has been changed to Rs 6500.. Am i correct? I am unable to find Rs 6500 limit under section 53 of this act. Can i get any link where i can find the amendment related to this if any..
