Notice period and relieving

Hi

I am planning to resign from my position as an art director from an agency. I have some doubts in the process. Is the notice period starts from the date of resignation sent or from the date of acceptance?. Is there any rule not to pay my salary if I serve my notice period?

Thanks

The notice period is from date of notice of resignation. You may take care to submit notice within office hours of date of notice and submit one copy at the desk where all mail of company is received and obtain acknowledgment with seal and date on your copy, an submit a copy by redg. post.

Address the notice of resignation to the good office of your appointing authority.

If you serve the entire notice period you are eligible for salary for the entire period.

You may look into the terms and conditions stated in your appointment letter, and obtain the copy of standing orders of the company if any Service rule book/Employee rule book/HR policy.
