Not knowingly bought a land which belongs to sc/st

Dear experts,

Unkonowingly, we bought a land in bangalore, near "panathur dinaa" which we found out that it is a land allocated to SC/ST by govt. but we made registration on to my name and paid registration charges and the sub registar put his seal on the documents also. after the registration when i was handed over the documents i found out that this is a land given by the govt to sc/ST and the person who got allocation Mr. Nagappa sold it 10 years back to Mrs. "varalakshmi" and then he sold it to some lady "vijayalaksmi" who sold it to me. when i enquired about this they said the "Mr.Nagappa" died after he sold the property to them and they were no way related to him or his heirs. Now what should i do can i construct house in the land or do i need to take this issue to the court . please help its a huge investment i made in this land and now it seems to me that i lost every penny of it , is it true . Please help with any suggestion regarding this, if u really want i can attach the documents

If it is a land of a ST then no-one except a ST person can purchase his land , if any other person means non ST purchase the land then it is an illegal transaction he the purchaser cannot transfer it into on his own name(mutation) , the land will always remain in the ST persons name , he /his legal heir claim for it at any time , if it is a land of a sc person then only a sc can purchase it but if a sc person wants to sell it to other non sc person then he have to take permission also called titima from the DM of that district , otherwise he can not sell his property if any other non sc person purchase it he can not transfer it into his own name and the sc person will always remain the owner of the land , in your case it seems that it is a land of a sc person and after taking permission he had sold his land , you can take the farad of this land from the tehsil and get it checked on whose name is this land if it is in the name of vijayalakshmi and she is not a sc then you built your home with free mind .
