Last year, there were many news reports about change in divorce laws where wife is eligible to claim upto 50% of husband's property. Also wife can claim share in inheritance or future inheritance of husband. Is this a law in effect or still pending to be passed?
Any update on this is appreciated

The bill is yet to be passed in Lok sabha that too in a modified form.

There is no such thing as 50 % of the share of the Husband. The bill as passed in the Rajya sabha does nor entail the wife 50 %.
